The Pieve Vecchia mansion is in the center of the Estate, a fascinating villa in local stone built on the remains of an ancient Roman abode. The well-known architect Cini Boeri designed the renovation of the villa, choosing a minimalistic restoration exhibiting the Roman foundations in a spectacular fashion. These foundations are a heritage of great archeological relevance, adorned with 12 niches possibly used in the past to accomodate tanks for dyeing fabric.

The house, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, is a rare island of peace and quiet. From the garden, scattered with a large number of assorted plants, one can enjoy a beautiful view, which overlooks Monte Amiata and continues down the valley of the Ombrone River, finally coming to rest on the Monti dell’Uccellina in the distance. Total relax can be obtained only a few steps away from the house in a 17-metre swimming pool, or in a solarium and whirlpool.

The interior design blends refined contemporary decor with old fashioned traditional details such as two large fireplaces and precious wooden ceilings.

Pieve Vecchia Villa is available for accommodation as well as for corporate and private events: an occasion to live the Maremma spirit in extraordinary architecture.
